Such a shame as Lucky Eagle used to be one of our favorites. I don't think we will plan on going back there any time soon when we have 3 other casinos to choose from where you can play the slots in the entire casino in better air circulation. The only thing that saved this trip and staying there was that we didn't lose all our money and actually came out a little ahead. Our sheets had a couple of cigarette holes in them.

We stayed at the hotel and I know the rooms were remodeled several years ago but they are already looking pretty worn. They do have a non smoking area and you don't notice the tobacco smell but it is very limited on the number of slots offered. Don't know what happened but Wow! The tobacco smell hits you in the face when you walk in and was so awful we could not even consider gambling in that area. We used to be smokers years ago so even though the smell was not good we were able to tolerate it. They advertised that they went back to smoking. We had stayed away from Lucky Eagle during Covid but decided to go to go back. They are so clean and refreshing when you enter. : ) We had a great time! Only casino in Texas.Chinook Winds, Spirit Mountain and Ilana all went to nonsmoking during Covid and they have kept their casinos non smoking. Great view of the roof and air conditioner units, but who is in the room at a casino, anyway? (PS it was not tripadvisor.) You get what you pay for. We booked a room through a travel site on short notice for $89, which could have cost about $189 booked through the hotel.

Nice little bus to run you from the parking lot, which is big and can fill up. We stayed at the hotel and the amenities are clean. The remodel is Very Nice if you have not been there in awhile.

So we came home with $700 above what we took to play with, but we both played for eight hours. This time, he won $1800 early in the evening on a $5 machine. I'm a conservative slot player - my husband takes bigger risks. The trip before, the two of us blew through $600 in about three hours and stopped playing the slots.

The first time we visited Lucky Eagle Casino, before it was remodeled, my husband won $1200.
